Pocket Book 18th April
Apologies, followed by hopefully a little more inspiration. Enjoy ...
To Apologise
Firstly an apology to Megan Adam and The People's Mending as I unwittingly posted their work last week without acknowledging the source. I had scheduled a post but ran out of time, so please take some time to look at their work as it quite inspiring.
To Read
I have just got back into reading for pleasure after a small hiatus following a bout of Noro-virus at the beginning of the year and am always looking for inspiration for my next read. Nora Popova (@torealitywithlove) has a fabulous list of her favourite comfort reads . Let me know if you have any favourites to recommend.
To Garden
It’s that time of year again and the garden is calling on a daily basis. On rainy days, I am tending to my seedlings, potting on and sowing where batches have failed. I am also trying not to get irate when the local cats dig up my seeds and am concocting an elaborate system with bamboo canes as a preventative measure at the moment. It feels as if the garden up here in Yorkshire is on the cusp of bursting forth. One of my favourite inspirations on here is Hermione Blackshaw - for gentle posts and inspiration.
To Fashion
Sustainable fashion is always at the back of my mind and one of the reasons for posting the mending piece last week was that I have been working my way through my own mending pile, coaxing some favourite pieces back into life with either repairs, debobbling or just a simple hem fix. This has given me such pleasure as some of clothing has been sat in a sad little (or rather large) pile for a year or so. It has been a joy rediscovering my favourite grey cashmere jumper, a pink linen shirt with a hole under the arm and my much loved Toast raincoat. All happily back in circulation with a resolution to mend more quickly in future.
I hope you enjoyed the Pocket Book this week and please feel free to let me know if there is anything you would like featured, an article that you would like to share. As most people will know, I usually always acknowledge sources so apologies again to Megan Adam and The People's Mending . I am off to Malaga this week so will round up sights, sounds and tastes of our trip next week. Have a good weekend, Charlotte

Thank you so much for the mention! 🥰🙏🏻
