For those who live in and around Haworth, you will be aware of Gill and her fabulous work at Material Worth in Crossroads. She is sadly closing down next week and there are some fabulous fabrics, cushion covers and glorious bits and bobs still in her shop at bargain prices - well worth a quick trip. A new exhibition which opens today titled Costing the Earth aims to highlight the harmful environmental impact of fast fashion and the small actions we can take to make a positive difference.

Costing the Earth presents the work of Mandy Barker, Alice Fox, Hannah Lamb and Atiyya Mirza and explores the different ways contemporary artists are responding to the climate crisis. Each of the featured artists works with recycled or sustainably sourced materials to create photographic, sculptural and textile artworks.

The exhibition is at the South Square Centre, Thornton and runs from the 6th June to 30th August. For more details, please click HERE.

Finally, a little delve into some Substack accounts that are worth some extra time. Substack has become my place of peace and harmony, away form the constant reels and selling on Instagram. It is a place of thoughtful writing, pretty pictures and challenging veiwpoints without vitriolic messages. You can follow accounts for free and many accounts have free subscription as well. These are some that I regularly save: The People's Mending, Wendy Ward, Ruth Singer, miss minimalist and Uncompromising Curation.
